A: The Dupont is a micro-venue and creative event space located in Uptown Minneapolis. We host intimate weddings, micro-events, private parties, corporate meetings, and creative productions.

Q: How do I book an event at The Dupont?

Payments & Deposits

Q: How much is the deposit?
A: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation.

Q: When is the remaining balance due?
A: The remaining balance must be paid 21 days before your event date — instructions are sent by email.

Q: Do you require a security deposit?
A: Yes, a separate refundable security deposit is required. It must be paid before your event and is returned if no damages or policy violations occur.

Venue, Add-Ons & Services

Q: What’s included in my rental?
A: Rentals include exclusive use of the first floor of the venue (unless your wedding package includes access to second floor bridal suite and staircase), and the option to add A/V, decor, or other services.

Q: Can I bring in my own vendors?
A: Outside vendors are welcome, provided they comply with our policies.

Q: Do you allow catering?

A: We allow catering for all events four hours and longer. The caterer must be licensed.

Q: Do you allow alcohol?

A: Self-serve (free) alcohol is permitted. The event managers/hosts cannot serve alcohol. No underage drinking is allowed. Selling alcohol is not allowed.

Q: Do you provide A/V equipment?
A: Yes, as add-on services, we offer full A/V production services, including PTZ cameras, streaming, and teleconferencing. Please see list of add-ons for more details.

Q: Do you allow ticketed events?
A: Yes, we allow ticketed events for up to 30 people. We also offer a range of A/V services that could support your event.

Q: Do you have a piano available?
A: Yes, a Roland AR-277 Digital Intelligent Piano is available for no extra charge (pianist not included), with any reservation.

Policies & Rules

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Event reservation deposits (50%) are non-refundable. The total event balance will still be due if cancellations are made less than 30 days prior to the event. Cancellations must be done in writing. Please contact the event manager at liz@thedupontuptown.com to discuss rescheduling options.

Q: Are there rules about hours, noise, or capacity?
A: Yes — we are a micro-venue (designed for events less than 40 people) in a residential neighborhood, so all events must follow our House Rules, which outline guest limits, quiet hours, and other policies. Our operating hours are 10AM-10PM.
