House Rules – The Dupont

Welcome to The Dupont. To ensure an enjoyable and respectful experience for all of our guests, vendors, and neighbors, we ask that all visitors and renters observe the following House Rules:

Access Rules

  • All Events include the exclusive use of the first floor of 2428 Dupont Ave S.

  • MicroWedding Packages “Blossom” and “Bloom” additionally include the use of a second floor bridal suite (with bathroom), and staircase.

  • Accessing additional floors of the home outside of these rules is forbidden and may result in a cancellation of your event.

General Conduct

  • Treat the property, staff, and neighbors with courtesy and respect.

  • No disorderly conduct, disruptive behavior, or illegal activity is permitted on site.

  • Children must be supervised at all times.

Hours & Noise

  • Events must begin and end at the contracted times.

  • Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM, in accordance with Minneapolis city ordinance.

  • Music volume must be kept at a level respectful to neighbors.

Food, Beverage & Alcohol

  • Only licensed and insured caterers and bartenders may serve food or alcohol.

  • Alcohol service must end 30 minutes before event end time.

  • No underage drinking is permitted.

Decor & Furnishings

  • No nails, screws, tape, or adhesives may be used on walls, ceilings, or floors.

  • Candles are permitted only if enclosed (no open flames).

  • Glitter, confetti, and sparklers are not allowed.

  • All décor must be removed immediately following the event unless otherwise arranged.

Smoking & Substances

  • Smoking and vaping are not permitted indoors.

  • Designated outdoor smoking areas must be used, and all waste disposed of properly.

  • Illegal substances are strictly prohibited.

Safety & Capacity

  • Maximum capacity must not exceed the contracted number of guests.

  • Emergency exits and hallways must remain clear at all times.

  • The renter is responsible for the actions of all guests and vendors.

Clean-Up & Property Care

  • Renters are responsible for leaving the venue in the same condition it was found.

  • All trash, recycling, and personal items must be removed.

  • Any damages will be billed to the renter, see rental contract for details.

Parking & Neighbors

  • Please use designated parking areas only.

  • Be respectful of our neighbors when arriving and leaving the venue.

  • Loitering outside the property is not permitted.

Enforcement

Failure to comply with these rules may result in forfeiture of the security deposit, immediate termination of the event, or additional charges.
